The Differences Between Male And Female Skin
We all know women are the more refined gender, but did you know that our skin structure is different as well?
Androgen (testosterone) stimulation causes an increase in skin thickness, which accounts for why a males skin is about 30% thicker than a females. Moreover, to being denser, a man's epidermis texture is radical. We also lose collagen and age differently. Testosterone is a sex hormone that does some serious role playing in mens bodies. In men, it regulates sex drive (libido), bone thickness, lipid distribution, muscle mass and power. Let us not forget the manufacture of blood cells and sperm, as well.
So, what this is all defined as is simply our skin needs different types of feeding.
Men need less hydrating for their skin depending if they have many underlying conditions of course.
Mens grooming has evolved over the past few years and for centuries, humans have been using oils such as: Olive Oil, Shea Butter Oil, and Coconut Oil, hence the constant usage as ingredients in many unisex cosmetics, organic or otherwise. Based on this current information
different essential oils are composed for men's individual needs. For example, if a male has very dry skin due to lack of hydration it would behoove him to utilize Lavender oil. However, if he were to have oily skin then he would primarily apply Jojoba, [which is manufactured in the body anyway], Geranium, Tea Tree, or the all too reliable, Aloe Vera Oil.
Having said all this, women’s skin care needs are a bit different. Women will do everything from exfoliating to masks and whatever else it takes to maintain their beauty, and rightly so. Ladies should be worshipped considering they basically pass a bowling ball at birth, so we, as real men should be kneeling at their feet on a regular basis, at least the good ones.
Vitamin A oil is really the only trueskin penetration product on the market today. As of 2020 no other study has shown to pass through the initial epi skin barrier. There are other oils that {topically} have somewhat of an effect on the skin but down under, not so much.
